Meet The Team
Owner & Piano Teacher
Since beginning piano lessons at age four, music has become such a positive part of my life. I started Melody Music Lessons in 2014 when I realised my love for teaching.
I finished my double degree BMus(Hons)/BA at UNSW in 2018, receiving a High Distinction for my Honours thesis in Music. I am currently studying my PhD in Music at UNSW.
I am so passionate about sharing music because it's such a beautiful creative outlet no matter your age or ability!
In my spare time you can find me on my yoga mat, walking my dog, in the garden or reading a good book!
Singing & Piano Teacher
I'm an enthusiastic and bubbly teacher and I believe it's important for music to be fun and enjoyable!
I started taking on singing lessons from the age of 11 and ever since then I have been extremely passionate about performing.
I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Australian Institute of Music. I've completed my Rockschool AMEB Grade 8 Vocals with a High Distinction. During my music journey I've sat my Piano For Leisure exams and have also studied drums. I'm currently working towards sitting another high grade Musicianship exam to compliment my university music studies.
I'm super passionate about teaching and I believe in seeing progress in my students, by taking a caring approach to each student's needs. I believe that with this approach students can express themselves and find their own voice!
Guitar & Musicianship Teacher
I am an experienced guitar teacher with a BMus(Honours) from UNSW. I achieved First Class Honours for my thesis on improvisation in 2017.
I am currently studying for my PhD in Music at UNSW. I am also writing an instructional book on music improvisation to be released late 2021.
My interest lies in jazz performance but I can teach any style of music. I love seeing students thrive and progress, and it's rewarding to pass on my passion for music to my students.
I'm also interested in Sonic Arts and studied this area in my degree. With these recording and editing skills I've been able to record professional studio albums for the students at Melody Music Lessons.
Ever since taking up piano lessons from a young age, music has become a huge part of my life and it's something I’m extremely passionate about.
I strongly believe that although music may require consistent dedication and effort, it should remain fun and enjoyable for students. I strive to create this environment for students whilst encouraging them to do their best.
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW. I’ve completed my AmusA Diploma and ATCL Diploma and studied both Music 2 and Music Extension in the HSC.
Besides music, I love dancing and enjoying playing a range of sports!
Singing & Piano Teacher
I began piano lessons when I was 5 years old and started learning singing when I was 12, beginning with classical but finding my true passion in contemporary voice. I can't go a day without singing; it's truly what makes me happiest.
I am currently studying at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), completing the Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance.
Music should be fun and freeing and I want to encourage a safe space for students to let loose, make mistakes and enjoy learning!
In my spare time you can find me at the beach, playing with my dog Winnie and my cat Tigger, or dancing!
My music adventure started at age 5 when I commenced piano lessons. Since then music has continued to shape my life.
In 2020, I achieved my AMus in piano performance with Honours and was ranked 5th in the state in HSC Music 1. I am also experienced in public performance through my involvement in school choirs, solo recitals and eisteddfods. I believe my experience can help students of all levels to enjoy the magic of music which brings perpetual joy.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Education (Secondary) at UNSW to further pursue knowledge in music and pedagogy. With a great passion for teaching, I have always loved to witness each student's unique talent, their vibrant identity and their action in using their skills to inspire more people.
In my spare time, I enjoy expanding my Pinterest board on beautiful pots, cups and plates.
I started learning piano when I was 5, and music quickly became one of the most important things in my life. I passed AMEB grade 8 and started teaching while I was in High School, and found teaching just as meaningful as practising on my own.
Music never fails to transport me to a world of beauty. Learning how to invoke this world through one’s own skill feels like one of the most meaningful pursuits that there is, and my experience as a teacher has given me the honour of exposing people of all ages to music and its joy and intricacy. I hope that I can take a student far enough to learn what reaches them the most and where their passions lie.
My passions personally lie most strongly with Rachmaninov and the Russian Romantics. It’s so powerful! When I play and invoke a similar feeling to what I get from recordings, it’s the greatest sensation in the world. I hope that I can share this with you!
I've been inspired by piano performance since I started my music journey at age 4.
Discovering the intricacies of classical music enriched my appreciation for the diverse range of expression available found not only within the classical sphere, but the depth of complexity in many other genres as well.
I believe music is a lifelong journey that can provide a lot of colour to everyday life, which is why I am passionate about encouraging students to learn music in a safe space where they can enjoy their achievements without the pressure of perfection.
I was given the opportunity to do accelerated Music 2 and Music Extension for HSC in 2018, being nominated for encore as well as attaining my LMusA diploma in 2019. I was also given the privilege of performing for many extracurricular ensembles at school and even playing at the Government House!
I graduated from Sydney Conservatorium of Music High School, where I majored in Piano, Flute and Composition. I have completed AmusA (Associate Diploma in Music) on Piano and Cmus (Certificate of Performance) on Flute under the Australian Music Examinations Board and also achieved top marks in HSC Music 2 and Extension Music, alongside a nomination for ENCORE.
My time at the Conservatorium of Music allowed for many performance opportunities as well as extensive involvement in orchestral, choral and chamber ensembles, partaking in frequent performances at the Sydney Opera House and Government House.
I aim to impart my enthusiasm for music through teaching. My goal is to create an experience that is both fun yet educational, providing students with a solid foundation to music-making.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with pet rabbit Humphrey, shopping and spending time with my friends!
